Job Requirements
- At least 3 years progressive experience in a Rooms or Food and Beverage department of a hotel
- previous supervisory experience
- proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- effective in handling workplace problems including anticipation and resolution
- ability to assimilate complex information and modify to meet needs
- effective at listening, understanding, clarifying and resolving concerns
- ability to work with and understand financial data and basic arithmetic
- ability to convey information and ideas clearly
Job Qualifications
- At least 3 years progressive experience in a Rooms or Food and Beverage hotel department
- or a 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years experience in a Rooms or Food and Beverage hotel department
- or a 2-year college degree with 2 years experience in a Rooms or Food and Beverage hotel department
- previous supervisory experience required
- proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- ability to work well under stress and maintain composure
- effective problem handling and decision-making skills
- ability to assimilate complex information and adapt to needs
- effective listening, understanding, and communication skills
- ability to understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic functions

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- comply and ensure adherence to company standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
- comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- supervise and support Engineering and Housekeeping departments in the absence of the General Manager
- use training materials to develop skills in all operational departments
- assist in creating an environment for empowered employee decision making
- assist General Manager with financial reports and corporate deadlines
- participate in Manager on Duty coverage as scheduled
- ensure training in service standards across departments
- assist in recruiting, hiring and training guest services staff
- participate in weekly meetings to address oversell settings
- promote a positive team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction
- assist in maintaining compliance with Preventative Maintenance and Deep Cleaning Programs
- maintain professional relationships and open communication
- ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees per company policies
- complete corporate training modules and certifications
- greet guests and assist in public areas during peak times
- maintain safe handling procedures for the hotel safe
- attend all scheduled property meetings
