Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
  • comply with all hotel regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
  • maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • conduct thorough orientation for new Front Desk Agents
  • assist with higher-level concerns or questions from guests or associates
  • greet and welcome guests in accordance with hotel standards
  • operate the telephone switchboard ensuring performance standards
  • handle requests for information, mail and messages efficiently and courteously
  • answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation
  • provide information on local dining, transportation and entertainment
  • establish and maintain good communication and teamwork among hotel departments
  • follow all credit policies
  • be familiar with rates, packages, promotions and in-house groups
  • obtain necessary information for reservations
  • be knowledgeable of hotel policies and hospitality terminology
  • assist in emergency procedures
  • handle check-ins and check-outs courteously and efficiently
  • operate front desk computer systems
  • ensure attentiveness and courtesy toward guests and associates
  • manage delivery of packages, mail and messages
  • use proper radio etiquette
  • attend management meetings
  • perform other duties as requested
  • maintain access control to sensitive areas
  • handle cash securely
  • interact with guests and colleagues, sometimes unsupervised
  • drive safely on behalf of the company
  • uphold a high level of trust, responsibility and good judgment
