Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in hotel or food service industry preferred
  • valid Food Handlers Certification complying with state requirements
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environment
  • maintain professional appearance and grooming
  • comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • willingness to attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and food preparation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handlers Certification complying with state requirements

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
  • comply with certification requirements applicable to position including Food Handlers and Safety
  • maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • have thorough knowledge of menus and food preparation according to hotel standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas
  • complete necessary food and station preparations prior to breakfast service
  • prepare and display buffet food items according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • prepare and service food for Complimentary Breakfast as specified by Food Production Manager
  • prepare foods following standard recipes and special preparations under manager direction
  • breakdown buffets and kitchen line and store food and equipment properly at the end of service
  • know location and operation of fire extinguishing equipment
  • practice safe work habits to avoid injury
  • be familiar with hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • use production charts per Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and associates
  • operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • maintain 'Clean As You Go' policy
  • assist in food storage and rotation according to procedures
  • sign keys out and back in under supervision as needed
  • attend meetings as required by management
  • perform other duties as requested
  • maintain high level of trust and responsibility
  • represent company with good character and exercise sound judgment
