Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • food handlers certification (must comply with state requirements)

  • must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

  • approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations
  • comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers and Safety
  • maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation procedures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
  • complete food and station preparations before breakfast hours
  • prepare and display buffet food items according to standards
  • prepare and service food for Complimentary Breakfast as specified
  • prepare foods following standard recipes
  • breakdown buffets and kitchen line, properly storing food and equipment
  • know location and operation of fire extinguishing equipment
  • practice safe work habits
  • be familiar with hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • use Production Charts as specified
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and associates
  • operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • maintain the 'Clean As You Go' policy
  • assist in storage and rotation of food items
  • sign keys out and back in under supervision as needed
  • attend meetings as required
  • perform other duties as requested
  • maintain a high level of trust and responsibility
  • represent the company with good character and exercise sound judgment
