Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently
  • ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
  • vision requirements including color vision and ability to see within 20 inches to 20 feet
  • ability to perform balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • willingness to work in an environment exposed to noise, temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals
  • must report to work as scheduled and on time
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
  • assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy products, passing along customer suggestions, and performing tasks to enhance the shopping experience
  • answers telephone promptly and provides friendly service
  • works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • prepares woks including cleaning, heating, and oiling
  • cooks soups first then meats
  • prepares vegetables and ready sauces adding spices
  • combines ingredients with the meat
  • places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary
  • orders product and supplies or notifies department head
  • cleans work area at end of shift
  • fills cold case with fresh-made food
  • prepares items for the next day
  • understands all aspects of Hy-Chi kitchen
  • maintains personal hygiene and dress as per guidelines
  • adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work as scheduled and on time
