Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Knowledge of public sector personnel administration principles
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to manage multiple assignments within deadlines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year experience in human resources, employee relations, or related field is preferred
Job Duties
- Provide information and general assistance to city staff and the public regarding human resource policies, procedures and processes
- Scan, label and upload paper documents into computer files or database systems
- Assist with any and all recruitment efforts
- Update spreadsheets daily to ensure accuracy of recruitment information
- Compose, compile, and prepare correspondence, reports and related documents as assigned
- Serve as a back up to the Human Resource Team
- Maintain employee human resource files, including pre-employment information, transfers, agreements, and ID cards
- Operate office equipment including computer, copier, and telephone system
