Job Requirements
- Equivalent to three years of full-time general office clerical work
- Experience in customer service or new hire processing preferred
- Ability to work on-site at Northridge campus
- Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check
- Authorized to work in the United States without H-1B visa sponsorship
- Ability to comply with California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act
- Commitment to COVID-19 vaccination recommendations
- Availability to work full time Monday through Friday
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Equivalent to three years of full-time general office clerical work
- Full-time college or university education or vocational training in business or job-related field may substitute for up to two years of experience
- Prior experience in customer service or processing new hires preferred
- Knowledge of standard office equipment such as multi-line telephone systems, computers, printers, fax, copy machines, and scanners
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone/email etiquette
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and active listening ability
- Proficiency in learning new technology and systems
Job Duties
- Receive and resolve inquiries and customer concerns
- Support new hire onboarding processes including timely sign-in of new employees
- Perform document imaging and maintain confidential files
- Coordinate and direct telephone calls, email inquiries, and visitors to appropriate personnel
- Maintain office security and control access at the reception desk
- Provide training to HR staff and student workers related to customer service
- Perform other assigned administrative duties
