Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to three years of full-time general office clerical work
  • Experience in customer service or new hire processing preferred
  • Ability to work on-site at Northridge campus
  • Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check
  • Authorized to work in the United States without H-1B visa sponsorship
  • Ability to comply with California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act
  • Commitment to COVID-19 vaccination recommendations
  • Availability to work full time Monday through Friday
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Equivalent to three years of full-time general office clerical work
  • Full-time college or university education or vocational training in business or job-related field may substitute for up to two years of experience
  • Prior experience in customer service or processing new hires preferred
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment such as multi-line telephone systems, computers, printers, fax, copy machines, and scanners
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone/email etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and active listening ability
  • Proficiency in learning new technology and systems

Job Duties

  • Receive and resolve inquiries and customer concerns
  • Support new hire onboarding processes including timely sign-in of new employees
  • Perform document imaging and maintain confidential files
  • Coordinate and direct telephone calls, email inquiries, and visitors to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain office security and control access at the reception desk
  • Provide training to HR staff and student workers related to customer service
  • Perform other assigned administrative duties
