Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • ability to work full time at the Fort Worth, Texas location
  • strong communication skills
  • familiarity with applicable laws and regulations
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in human resources or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in human resources or related area
  • experience in recruitment and hiring processes
  • knowledge of employee benefits administration
  • ability to manage employee development and training programs
  • experience in employee relations and communication
  • understanding of legal and compliance requirements in human resources
  • strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • ability to facilitate orientation and training programs
  • skill in collaborating with management and external partners
  • experience with Workers Compensation and unemployment claim management

Job Duties

  • assists in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members with the appropriate skills as needed
  • establishes and maintains contact with external recruitment sources
  • attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts
  • networks with local organizations to source candidates for current or future openings
  • oversees and monitors candidate identification and selection process
  • provides subject matter expertise to property managers regarding selection procedures
  • partners with vendor partners to ensure effective advertisement efforts for open positions
  • performs quality control on candidate identification and selection
  • works with unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims
  • prepares, audits and distributes unemployment claim activity reports
  • attends unemployment hearings to represent the property
  • supports a departmental orientation program for employees
  • ensures employees are cross-trained
  • supervises ongoing training initiatives and conducts training
  • ensures coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program
  • collaborates with management team to ensure departmental orientation processes
  • assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels
  • reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency
  • utilizes an open door policy to address employee problems or concerns
  • partners with loss prevention to conduct employee accident investigations
  • communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions
  • ensures employee files contain required paperwork and are properly maintained and secured
  • ensures compliance with reviewing and auditing employee files
  • facilitates drug testing processes where applicable
  • communicates property rules and regulations
  • conducts periodic claims reviews with Regional Claims office
  • represents Human Resources at the property Safety Committee
  • manages Workers Compensation claims
  • oversees the selection and offer processes to ensure proper procedures are followed
