Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma
  • One to two years of relevant experience in human resources or office administration
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license
  • Fully insured to drive and operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent to multiple office locations
  • Proficiency in HR and administrative software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred
  • Minimum one to two years of relevant experience in human resources, office management, or office administration
  • Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources or administrative position
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience with HR databases and EMR systems
  • Ability to work with ATS software
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools like resume databases and online communities
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to relate and connect with diverse individuals

Job Duties

  • Support the recruitment and hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain the team’s agenda, coordinate training sessions and seminars, perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data including payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates in both paper and database formats and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Liaise with other departments such as payroll and benefits to ensure smooth HR operations
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity and assist in ad-hoc HR projects like collection of employee feedback
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance, redirect HR related calls or correspondence to appropriate team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
