Job Requirements

  • Minimum education level of a bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in People and Culture roles
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office
  • Preferred bilingual language skills
  • Ability to perform light physical work including standing and walking frequently throughout the work shift

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising People functions or staff
  • Experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, relevant regulations, and HR best practices
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service ethic
  • Attention to detail
  • English fluency
  • Bilingual preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as a primary resource for employee concerns, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
  • Support programs that promote employee satisfaction, retention, and strong workplace culture
  • Assist in conducting investigations and resolving employee relations issues
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation processes that reflect the hotel’s culture and brand standards
  • Support the deployment and administration of recruitment strategies and processes for all staff, collaborating with the People and Culture Manager to ensure timely staffing
  • Support performance management processes, providing coaching and guidance to supervisors and department heads
  • Coordinate rewards and recognition programs including employee engagement days, employee and leader of the quarter, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion committee meetings
  • Ensure necessary legal postings are in view and assist in monitoring employee relations programs such as the Drug Free Workplace Policy
  • Promote the DC brand at all opportunities and lead by example through company values
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to maintain alignment and operational excellence
