Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years transportation and logistics office environment experience
- Minimum 3 years general office experience
- Forklift certification obtained upon hire
- Ability to operate gasoline or electric powered forklift
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of AS400 system preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years transportation and logistics office environment experience required
- Minimum 3 years general office experience required
- Transportation and logistics experience in an LTL or hub environment preferred
- General computer skills required
- Ability to prioritize actions items to determine critical timing for shipment coordination
Job Duties
- Understand the requirements and expectations of handling shipments of consequence and make routing suggestions based on service level requirements
- Process inbound and outbound documents ensuring accuracy and report discrepancies as required
- Provide hub operations supervisors with updated information from monitoring inbound boards in AS400
- Proactively communicate with internal and external customers regarding shipment status and investigate misrouted freight or other discrepancies
- Provide loadouts to hub operations supervisors for scheduled linehauls including ensuring proper paperwork is attached such as pre-trip inspection forms and activity cover sheets
- Communicate with linehaul operations team regarding additional adhoc loads and routing requirements
- Update AS400 accurately with departure and arrival times at assigned hub locations
- Answer telephones and respond to inquiries, redirecting calls as necessary
- Operate manually controlled gasoline or electric powered forklift to move materials within warehouse
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all policies and standards
