Job Requirements
- bachelor's or associate's degree in safety occupational health or closely related field
- 5 plus years experience in vacuum and or pump trucks commercial underground construction underground utilities oil and gas waste management or equipment rentals
- in-depth knowledge of federal state and local safety and environmental regulations with focus on u.s. department of transportation safety regulations
- expertise in dot hazardous materials and cargo tank regulations pertaining to fuel transporters
- willingness and ability to travel within and occasionally beyond the assigned region
- strong understanding of behavior-based safety programs
- proficiency in microsoft office suite word excel powerpoint outlook

Job Duties
- develop implement and oversee the dot compliance and hazardous materials program
- collaborate with local fleet management and senior leadership to promote a safe and efficient fleet operation
- monitor and support safety programs for fleet personnel
- continuously improve safety programs through scheduled terminal visits and audits
- assist with dot compliance insurance liability and workers' compensation claims
- lead quarterly in-person safety meetings at each fleet terminal
- conduct bi-annual fleet terminal inspections ensuring follow-up and corrective actions with escalation of safety concerns
- support incident accident investigations including root cause analysis reporting and follow-up management
- maintain logbook compliance records auditing 10 percent of driver logs monthly for dot compliance
