Job Requirements

  • ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • experience with safety plan development and implementation
  • knowledge of NFPA 70E and LOTO procedures
  • ability to conduct incident investigations
  • self-motivated and proactive
  • willingness to travel up to 25%
  • ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • compliance with ADA and reasonable accommodation policies

Job Qualifications

  • 4-year related degree and 4 years related experience plus CHST certification or 7 years relevant experience and CHST
  • proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • professional verbal and written communication skills
  • strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • effective team player with coaching abilities
  • experience interacting professionally with various levels of employees and stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Identify, document, and recommend corrective actions for hazardous conditions
  • participate in pre-construction meetings and develop site-specific safety plans
  • deliver safety training based on program and personnel needs
  • lead injury and incident investigations and share lessons learned
  • support pre-task planning and job site safety meetings
  • collaborate with subcontractors to ensure safety compliance
  • coordinate with field leadership to identify training needs and high-risk activities
  • ensure compliance with LOTO procedures and energization protocols
  • review Step-by-Steps and Method of Procedures (MOPs)
  • issue and monitor permits as required
  • interpret project one-line diagrams
  • apply NFPA 70E guidelines including PPE and approach distances
  • maintain advanced knowledge of company HSE standards
  • promote a safe and productive work environment
  • lead and mentor junior safety team members
  • compile and analyze safety data and prepare compliance reports
  • assist with emergency planning as needed
