Job Duties
- Greet and direct visitors at the front desk
 - answer phone calls and return messages
 - post internal and external job postings
 - distribute employee paychecks, benefit information, and union responses
 - distribute bus passes and maintain tracking
 - order department supplies and process purchase orders
 - distribute departmental mail and correspondence
 - direct employee inquiries to appropriate HR staff
 - provide basic employment verification letters
 - print employee badges and maintain access control
 - coordinate onboarding and prepare offer letters
 - verify position information and pay rates
 - update applicant tracking system and schedule onboarding appointments
 - process screening requirements including background checks
 - assist with criminal background investigations
 - monitor NYS DMV License Event Notification Service (LENS)
 - write job abandonment and termination letters
 - process unemployment claims and prepare for hearings
 - track employee counseling and communicate with job coaches
 - complete union information requests
 - act as witness or scribe for labor-related meetings
 - verify and track certifications and professional licenses
 - audit LENS and HR records for compliance
 - manage CHRC and Home Care Registry databases
 - track license renewals
 - support agency audits and information requests
 - audit HR files for accuracy and compliance
 - perform clerical tasks such as filing and mailings
 - participate in job fairs and recruiting events
 - maintain confidentiality of employee and applicant information
 - keep current with labor laws and union contracts
