Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Hands-on experience in training and coaching
  • Understanding of safety practice guidelines
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Preferred experience with PeopleSoft
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in reviewing and interpreting policies and business data
  • Effective communication skills verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform job-related tasks safely
  • Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years experience in Human Resources
  • Hands-on experience in training and coaching
  • Understanding of safety practice guidelines
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel
  • PowerPoint experience is useful
  • PeopleSoft experience preferred
  • Ability to identify and work through problems diplomatically
  • Ability to review and interpret data, policies, and business practices
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and comprehension at a level sufficient for job tasks

Job Duties

  • Assist and observe in various training programs to comply with company training practices and federal laws
  • Facilitate mandatory harassment, substance abuse training, safety, and arrange special classes
  • Maintain logo clothing, relocation billing, FMLA records, workers compensation and safety investigations, documentation, reporting and evacuation plans
  • Coordinate special events such as CMN, United Way, Health Fair, teammate parties
  • Support HR Manager as needed
  • Ensure employment process is within legal guidelines and fair
  • Manage requisitions and develop recruitment strategies with managers
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs, review applications and resumes, communicate status to applicants
  • Advise supervisors on hiring procedures, arrange pre-employment paperwork and orientation
  • Promote teammate morale through communication and policy interpretation
  • Coordinate teammate meetings and assist in new hire orientation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
