Job Requirements

  • Ability to sit for 100 percent of the time

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months prior experience in customer service or public-facing roles
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • demonstrated communication skills both oral and written
  • excellent accuracy and organizational skills
  • basic number sense
  • preferred skills include PowerPoint experience, advanced Excel skills, and some college coursework

Job Duties

  • Operate the central phone system by answering and transferring calls
  • greet and receive callers and visitors and direct them to proper staff
  • keep track of callers on hold and visitors in the lobby and ensure timely assistance
  • maintain the employee phone list in Microsoft Outlook and align it with the phone system
  • maintain professional appearance and demeanor to positively represent the agency
  • provide general company, event, and program information to visitors and refer them to staff as needed
  • partner with departments to maintain accurate contact and routing information
  • follow safety procedures related to building security, visitor badges, emergency response, and record keeping
  • provide administrative support to the community service program including communication, record retention, phone inquiries, application processing, and completion letters
  • manage HR mail functions such as sending certified mail, sorting daily HR mail, and coordinating with mail and delivery services
  • perform other duties as assigned
