Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of company orientation and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to work with customers and stay attentive to their needs
- ability to perform department-specific physical tasks such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, pushing, pulling, pinching, and performing fine motor movements
- ability to lift 50 lbs and manage in excess of 65 lbs depending on department
- willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation standards and store operating procedures

- knowledge of computer systems and equipment such as PC, symbol, scales, label machine

Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service
- takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answers customer questions regarding products
- assists them with selections
- prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
- slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- assists in technical areas as needed such as basic set-up and clean-up processes
- uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
- cleans and sanitizes display cases
- operates and maintains equipment properly
- complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- complies with department and store operating procedures
