Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of company orientation
- completion of food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to perform detailed and precise tasks
- ability to work with customers and stay attentive to their needs
- ability to lift up to 55 lbs and manage loads exceeding 65 lbs with assistance
- capability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, pushing, pulling, pinching, and fine motor movements

Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service
- takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answers customer questions regarding products
- assists them with selections
- prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
- slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- assists in technical areas as needed
- uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
- cleans and sanitizes display cases
- operates and maintains equipment properly
- complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- complies with department and store operating procedures
- records production and shrink to aid in production planning
- takes care of service counter customers
- uses ordering system applications
- performs inventory management processes as required
- serves and packages products at customer’s request
- educates customers on preparation and reheating instructions of prepared foods
- prepackages condiments for prepared food items
- cuts, slices, dices, chops food in preparation for chef
