Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Collaborate closely with CSUMB Facilities departments, the Associate Director of Facilities and Planning, and the Assistant Director for Housing Facilities to oversee all aspects of residential facility management, including general maintenance, improvements, and capital projects
  • Assist in planning and implementing major renovations, repairs, and improvements for residential facilities
  • Research and manage the installation of new furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and appliances, ensuring compliance with campus standards and in coordination with Facilities Management and Assistant Director for Housing Facilities
  • Execute communication plans to minimize construction and renovation impacts on residents, ensuring clear and timely communication with students, staff, and other stakeholders
  • Support student relocation efforts during facilities-related emergencies or scheduled maintenance events, coordinating efforts with SHRL staff, Residential Life, and other campus partners
  • Review and assess building conditions regularly in collaboration with the Associate Director for Facilities and Planning and the Assistant Director for Housing Facilities, ensuring compliance with SHRL standards, State Fire Marshal regulations, and Campus inspection requirements
  • Work closely with the Associate Director for Facilities and Planning, Assistant Director for Housing Facilities, the CSUMB Capital Planning department, and external contractors to ensure successful project execution and coordination with the daily operational needs of the housing program
