Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write and follow simple English instructions
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
- Availability to work day shifts Monday through Friday and weekends as required
- Must pass background check and pre-employment screenings
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and follow simple English instructions
- Preferred 3-6 months experience as a houseworker
- Equivalent combination of education and experience giving proficiency in housekeeping tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Job Duties
- Perform standard cleaning procedures in all hospital and building areas including patient rooms, surgery areas, and auxiliary spaces
- High dusting, spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors, disinfect horizontal surfaces, mop floors, vacuum carpets, empty trash, and polish fixtures
- Burnish floors using burnishers and automatic floor machines
- Perform check out cleaning of discharge and transfer units, including making beds
- Pick up and transport trash from utility rooms and collection points to compactor pick up area
- Move furniture and set up meeting rooms as necessary
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
