Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior housekeeping experience of one or more years
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand for entire shift
  • flexible availability including potential weekend or holiday work
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • must abide by company policies and procedures
  • able to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • availability primarily Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with possible occasional weekend shifts

Job Duties

  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift
  • remove newspapers and service trays
  • remove trash and linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning
  • clean all public areas including hallways, parking lot, elevators, service areas, and stairwells following safety and security procedures
  • remove soiled linen, terry, and trash from service areas and transport to appropriate locations
  • aid section housekeepers as needed with tasks such as bed boards and roll-ways
  • report any missing or found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority requests from Senior Housekeeper
  • communicate and respond friendly and courteously to guests, managers, and associates
  • report all guest issues and complaints to management
  • coordinate with Senior Housekeeper on work priorities and provide assistance
  • perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
