Job Requirements

  • prior housekeeping experience

Job Duties

  • walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift
  • remove newspapers and service trays
  • empty ash urn receptacles
  • remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning
  • clean all public areas including hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells while following safety and security procedures
  • remove soiled linen, terry and trash from service areas and take to appropriate locations
  • aid section housekeepers as needed with iron/ironing board, steamers, additional bedding
  • report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority requests from Housekeeping Supervisor
  • coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance as needed
  • perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • strip beds and remove soiled linen and trash from guestrooms
  • clean bedroom and closet areas and make beds
  • vacuum, sweep and mop floors
  • dust furniture, lamps, headboards, pictures, planters, chimney floor
  • clean kitchen counters, cabinets, drawers and refrigerators
  • clean bathroom counters, floors, showers/tub
  • respond to guests, managers and associates in a friendly and helpful manner
  • report guest issues and complaints to management
