Job Requirements

basic reading, writing, and math skills
some housekeeping experience
ability to speak English
ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds and push or pull items up to 300 pounds
frequent standing and moving about the facility
frequent handling of objects and equipment
frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
strong communication skills for interactions with guests and employees
ability to read and write for assignments and checklists
willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

assist room attendants on assigned floors
collect dirty linens and transport to laundry area
deliver fresh linens to room attendant carts throughout the day
assist with stripping linens from room and cleaning of public areas
deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and housekeeping staff
promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions
respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken
respond to guests’ requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner
collect newspaper and other items for recycling
assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens
clean designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors
remove dirty linen from room attendants’ carts and closets and transport to laundry
maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas
remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters, sweep and wax floor
assist with deep cleaning projects
monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimize waste within housekeeping areas
