Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- previous experience in a housekeeping or laundry attendant role preferred
- ability to operate industrial laundry machines and cleaning equipment
- physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- basic knowledge of chemical safety and cleaning agent handling
Job Qualifications
- Work experience as a laundry attendant and houseperson is preferred
- experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
- good physical health and stamina
- flexibility to work in shifts
- ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
- familiarity with chemical safety and proper handling of cleaning agents
- excellent organization skills
- ability to follow instructions
- high school diploma is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet guests and respond to special requests
- respond to guest concerns, complaints or suggestions appropriately and refer them to management
- gather waste and/or contaminated materials for disposal in assigned areas
- maintain privacy and security by properly announcing entry and servicing guestrooms
- properly use and maintain assigned equipment and supplies including vacuums, chemicals and cleaning aides
- observe and maintain common areas including floor closets, stairwells, halls, lobby areas and elevators
- maintain daily log including accounting for completed tasks and tracking issued keys
- properly handle lost and found items according to department policies
- perform other duties as assigned by management
- keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or significant matters
- operate laundry equipment safely including washers, dryers, and folding machines
- maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry and housekeeping storage areas
