Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services preferred
  • ability to stand and walk during entire shift
  • ability to kneel, squat, and bend constantly
  • ability to push up to 50lbs and pull, lift, carry, or move up to 20lbs
  • frequent use of hand, wrist, and manual dexterity
  • exposure to approved cleaning chemicals, dust, and odors
  • ability to interact with guests including speaking, listening, and writing
  • must maintain friendly and courteous demeanor
  • flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services (preferred)
  • must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner

Job Duties

  • adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues and guests
  • strip guest rooms that are designated as a departure
  • stock all guest rooms that are designated as a departure with new linen, terry, and water
  • maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors
  • maintain and organize the housekeeping back of house closets
  • stock linen in closets
  • stock all guest room amenities in closets
  • empty out trash from back of house closets
  • deliver guest request items within the Forbes service standards and guidelines
  • collect all dirty linen from the guest floors
  • sort specialty items to be washed in house, and brought to the housekeeping area
  • provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests
  • other duties as assigned
