Job Description

The Housekeeping Houseperson role is an integral part of a hotel or lodging establishment's housekeeping team, focused on maintaining cleanliness and order within all public areas to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests. This position supports the housekeeping attendants by delivering linens, towels, and guest supplies to rooms, ensuring that housekeeping closets and storage areas are well-stocked and organized, and assisting with deep cleaning initiatives such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and furniture moving. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to frequently bend and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and order in all public spaces including hallways restrooms lobbies and service areas
  • Deliver linens towels and guest supplies to housekeeping attendants and guest rooms as needed
  • Collect soiled linens and trash from designated areas and transport them to laundry or disposal locations
  • Ensure housekeeping closets and storage areas are stocked organized and clean
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects such as carpet shampooing window washing and furniture moving
  • Respond promptly to guest requests or questions and provide courteous service
  • Report any maintenance issues safety hazards or damaged items to the housekeeping supervisor
  • Follow hotel policies regarding health safety and sanitation
