Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services preferred
  • ability to effectively communicate with employees and guests
  • physical ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • ability to kneel, squat, and bend frequently
  • ability to push up to 50lbs and carry or move up to 20lbs
  • manual dexterity for handling cleaning tasks
  • ability to work in accordance with safety guidelines
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust
  • ability to interact politely and effectively with guests and coworkers

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services (preferred)
  • must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner

Job Duties

  • adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of colleagues and guests
  • strip guest rooms that are designated as a departure
  • stock all guest rooms that are designated as a departure with new linen, terry, and water
  • maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors
  • maintain and organize the housekeeping back of house closets
  • stock linen in closets
  • stock all guest room amenities in closets
  • empty out trash from back of house closets
  • deliver guest request items within the Forbes service standards and guidelines
  • collect all dirty linen from guest floors
  • sort specialty items to be washed in house and bring to housekeeping area
  • provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to best overall performance of department and hotel
  • communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests
  • perform other duties as assigned
