Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year of previous housekeeping experience
- ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand for an entire shift
- flexibility to work long hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- must be a team player
- ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- effective communication skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience of one year or more
- ability to communicate effectively with guests, management and coworkers
- ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- ability to work under minimal supervision
- ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- effective listening and problem-solving skills
- ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift
- remove newspapers and service trays
- empty ash urn receptacles
- remove trash and/or linens
- note any areas needing immediate cleaning
- clean all public areas including hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells
- remove soiled linen, terry and trash and transport to appropriate locations
- aid section housekeepers as needed with bed boards and roll-ways
- report missing or found articles, damage or merchandise problems
- receive assigned section, keys, and supplies from Senior Housekeeper
- communicate promptly and courteously with guests, managers and associates
- report guest issues and complaints to management
- coordinate work priorities with Senior Housekeeper
- perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
