Job Requirements
- Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm PST
- flexible with occasional weekend or holiday work
- ability to stand for entire shift
- ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- knowledge of company safety and security procedures
- ability to follow payroll policies, procedures, and rules of conduct
- must report any unusual occurrences to supervisor
- abide by all conduct regulations stated in the Associate Handbook
- ability to communicate clearly and respond to guests and associates
- ability to multitask and prioritize work
- must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Job Qualifications
- One or more years of previous housekeeping experience
- effective communication skills with guests, management, and coworkers
- ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- team player able to work under minimal supervision
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- effective listening and problem-solving skills
- ability to prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift
- remove newspapers and service trays
- empty ash urn receptacles
- remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning
- clean all public areas including hallways, elevators, service areas, and stairwells following safety and security procedures
- remove soiled linen, terry, and trash from service areas and transport to appropriate locations
- assist section housekeepers with tasks such as bed boards and roll-ways
- report any missing or found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- receive assigned section, keys, supplies, and priority requests from the Senior Housekeeper
- communicate and respond in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner to guests, managers, and associates
- coordinate with Senior Housekeeper on work priorities and provide assistance when needed
- perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
