Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
  • physical capability to lift and carry objects up to 55 pounds
  • ability to push and pull housekeeping carts across uneven terrain
  • ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, reaching overhead and below knees
  • ability to stand, walk, kneel, or sit for extended periods
  • must complete safety training and certifications
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • good communication skills
  • ability to assist individuals with disabilities

Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests
  • identify and report maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas
  • post caution signs as needed
  • contact other departments for urgent repairs
  • deliver guest requests and set up furniture in guest rooms
  • remove debris, soiled linens, and trash from hallways to service areas
  • clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
