Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
One to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and instructions
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to perform basic math operations
Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions
Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste or smell
Ability to lift and move weights up to 35 pounds
Specific vision abilities including close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Ability to work with cleaning fluids and solvents
Moderate noise tolerance in work environment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to apply common sense and solve problems in standardized situations
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

Clean and maintain the hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas
Clean and maintain surrounding areas including sidewalk, brass awning poles, signage, entrance, and alley
Deep clean assigned areas including shampooing rooms and public areas, window washing, light fixtures, and guest elevators
Clean and maintain back of house areas
Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon request
Obtain assignments, keys, pager, and guest requests from supervisor
Check and replenish cleaning supplies and tools
Greet guests warmly and respond to requests promptly
Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms
Return lost items to housekeeping with detailed records
Sort and inspect laundry and linens, record damaged items
Operate washers, dryers, linen feeders, and ironing machines
Monitor supplies, minimize waste, and report discrepancies
