Job Requirements
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to carry, push, move and lift large, bulky and/or heavy objects up to 50 pounds and pulling items up to 100 pounds
- Ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, walking, and repetitive bending
- Frequently handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Frequently work in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment
Job Qualifications
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma preferred
- Some housekeeping experience in a hotel environment preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist Room Attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens
- Remove all dirty linens from assigned Room Attendants’ carts and closet to transport to laundry area throughout the day
- Deliver fresh linens and other cart supplies to Room Attendants throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas including trash removal, wiping shelves and counters, sweeping and waxing the floor
- Respond to guests’ requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner
- Clean public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas and other public areas on assigned floors
- Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions
- Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimizing waste within housekeeping areas
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Collect newspapers and other items for recycling when needed
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and meeting setups and takedowns as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
