Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise, or related field preferred
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must have a desire to serve all guests
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at the scheduled shift end time unless directed otherwise
- Clock in and out for breaks as scheduled
- Provide sufficient notice when calling out
- Able to perform physical demands including stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing for long periods, walking distances, repetitive wrist and hand motions, and lifting housekeeping items
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality or customer service environments preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards is a plus
- Ability to follow operational procedures and safety guidelines
- Basic proficiency with relevant technologies and phone etiquette
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
- Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
- Work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
- Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
- Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
- Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
- Understand and utilize relevant technology for the role
- Answer all incoming calls using approved greetings
- Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
- Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces
- Greet guests warmly while performing cleaning duties
- Complete operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
- Prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
- Wear clean, approved uniform and maintain grooming standards
- Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
- Show willingness to go beyond assigned roles to meet business and guest needs
- Collaborate to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
- Store and retrieve luggage or packages for guests
- Clean and maintain guest hallways, stairwells, service areas, ice rooms, and exterior areas
- Collect trash from all designated locations and grounds
- Monitor and report condition of public space furniture
- Maintain stock levels in linen closets and guest amenities
- Restock supplies in assigned guestrooms and housekeeping cart
