Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise, or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at the scheduled shift end time unless directed otherwise
  • Clock in and out for breaks as scheduled
  • Provide sufficient notice when calling out
  • Able to perform physical demands including stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing for long periods, walking distances, repetitive wrist and hand motions, and lifting housekeeping items

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality or customer service environments preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards is a plus
  • Ability to follow operational procedures and safety guidelines
  • Basic proficiency with relevant technologies and phone etiquette
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • Work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
  • Understand and utilize relevant technology for the role
  • Answer all incoming calls using approved greetings
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces
  • Greet guests warmly while performing cleaning duties
  • Complete operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
  • Prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear clean, approved uniform and maintain grooming standards
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Show willingness to go beyond assigned roles to meet business and guest needs
  • Collaborate to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Store and retrieve luggage or packages for guests
  • Clean and maintain guest hallways, stairwells, service areas, ice rooms, and exterior areas
  • Collect trash from all designated locations and grounds
  • Monitor and report condition of public space furniture
  • Maintain stock levels in linen closets and guest amenities
  • Restock supplies in assigned guestrooms and housekeeping cart
