Job Duties
- Clean patient rooms and ancillary areas as assigned within hospital policies and procedures including discharge cleaning, chemical usage, terminal cleaning, and floor care
- Maintain cleaning equipment in proper condition
- Stock assigned areas with clean linen
- Remove small quantities of snow and salt walks in immediate entrances
- Replace easily accessible light bulbs as needed
- Dust and damp mop floors in corridors, entrances, stairwells, and other areas
- Collect all trash including infectious, regular, recyclable, and soiled linen
- Pick up and deliver Environmental Services supplies and food service items
- Move equipment and furniture
- Operate power tool equipment
- Wash walls and ceilings
- Change curtains, draperies, cubical curtains, and shower curtains
- Shampoo furniture, carpets, and mats
- Strip, refinish, and burnish floors
- Adhere to established standards of courtesy
- Clean interior vents and light fixtures
- Replace call cords, TV cords, and light cords as needed
- Safely complete work tasks and reduce risk to others
- Wear facility provided identification badge
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
