Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 to 3 years of housekeeping experience preferred
  • previous hotel or condo housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to communicate efficiently in English required
  • ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
  • must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • must be able to stand for long periods without sitting
  • willing to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 to 3 years of housekeeping experience or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience housekeeping in hotels or condos preferred
  • must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
  • physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent guest service skills

Job Duties

  • Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift
  • remove newspapers and service trays
  • empty ash urns
  • remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning
  • clean public areas such as hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells
  • remove dirty linen, terry, and trash from service areas and transport to appropriate locations
  • assist sectional housekeepers as needed including moving furniture and rollways
  • report missing or damaged articles and submit found items to housekeeping office according to Lost and Found procedures
  • respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner
  • ensure hallways are clear of trash and used room service trays taken to Stewarding department
  • report needs for floor cleaning, polishing, and carpet shampoo and coordinate cleaning procedures using equipment
  • arrange newspapers and magazines in the lobby and clear tables of used materials and trash
  • report maintenance issues timely to PBX center
  • transport baby cribs and rollaway beds to guest rooms
  • participate in training classes set up by The Arrabelle, Rock Resort and Vail Resorts
  • comply with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation
  • perform other duties as assigned
