Job Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping experience of one or more years
  • ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds
  • ability to stand for entire shift
  • willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • ability to multitask and work independently
  • ability to adhere to company policies and conduct guidelines

Job Duties

  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift
  • remove newspapers and service trays
  • empty ash urn receptacles
  • remove trash and or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning
  • clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures including hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells
  • remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to appropriate locations with ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • aid section housekeepers as needed including bed boards and roll-ways
  • report any missing or found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority requests from Senior Housekeeper
  • communicate and respond in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner to guests, managers and associates
  • coordinate with Senior Housekeeper on work priorities and provide assistance
  • perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
