Job Requirements

  • ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal
  • high school diploma
  • two to four years of banquet or catering experience
  • ability to oversee multiple functions
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to meet deadlines
  • ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving heavy loads up to 100 pounds
  • ability to endure repetitive motions
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and handle food professionally

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma required
  • some college preferred
  • two to four years of banquet or catering experience at a property of similar size and quality
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to oversee multiple functions and meet deadlines
  • ability to work well with the public and coworkers
  • attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • practice and promote core values and exemplary service standards
  • set up and break down all banquet department functions correctly and efficiently
  • read and follow banquet event orders and floorplans
  • set ballrooms according to specific production or event requirements
  • oversee multiple functions and room turnovers
  • communicate effectively with kitchen, banquet management, and stewarding teams
  • maintain cleanliness and order in function rooms, aisles, and storage areas
