Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years supervisory experience in commercial establishment
- Experience in laundry and housekeeping procedures
- Minimum two years long-term care experience preferred
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation policies
- Ability to manage staff shifts and resolve personnel issues
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to provide 24-hour on-call service

Job Duties
- Supervises all environmental services personnel and daily work in assigned areas
- Processes and maintains records of accounts payable, supplies, equipment maintenance, and department business
- Assists in creating and implementing housekeeping programs and record keeping systems
- Trains housekeeping and laundry personnel on cleaning, laundry, and maintenance tasks
- Assigns worker duties and inspects work for cleanliness standards
- Ensures environmental and linen cleanliness and sanitation for resident safety and comfort
- Organizes employee shifts and arranges replacements
- Works with residents, nurses, physicians, and staff on service requests and infection prevention
- Prepares schedule for housekeeping program performance
- Ensures compliance with safety and sanitation policies
- Performs daily rounds and inspections
- Performs housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Coordinates cleaning of various facility areas
- Performs emergency housekeeping and terminal cleaning duties
- Coordinates with maintenance for service tasks
- Monitors and replenishes cleaning products
- Provides 24-hour on-call emergency service
- Makes recommendations for service improvement
- Maintains communication and compliance with management and regulatory standards
