Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including lifting and bending
- previous experience in healthcare or environmental services preferred
- availability to work 20 hours per week with a mandatory every other weekend schedule
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- valid vaccination against influenza
- ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals
- reliable transportation to and from work
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- knowledge of cleaning and disinfection procedures in a healthcare setting
- ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
- basic computer skills
- strong attention to detail

- flexibility to work every other weekend

Job Duties
- Cleans patient rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures
- cleans restrooms daily and restocks paper supplies
- cleans offices and conference rooms daily
- cleans entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily and vacuums carpets
- cleans utility rooms, nourishment stations, corridors, and ancillary areas
- collects all soiled linen and replaces laundry bags as needed
- collects and sorts trash, plastics, cardboard, and blue wrap and disposes of properly
- cleans, strips, refinishes, spray buffs, shampoos, and maintains floors using appropriate machines
- participates in EVS in-service training, department meetings, and safety meetings
- operates basic computer programs and TDSS devices
- performs other duties as assigned
