Job Requirements

Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
ability to work evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM
previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred
ability to follow standard cleaning procedures and protocols
physical capability to perform cleaning duties and handle waste
attention to detail
strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs
assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
cleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levels
collects and transports all waste, including RMW, according to policy
compacts trash or places in containers
damp buffs and shampoos carpets with approved equipment
dry and wet mops floors of rooms and offices
dust mops and wet mops corridor, stairwells and other common areas
empties waste receptacles and removes trash
maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when needed
observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
performs patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure
refills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers
ensures all patient rooms are patient ready at all times with proper tent cards, toilet seat bands and privacy curtains
