Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare or similar environment preferred
- Ability to complete required training and competencies
- Ability to work evening shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Ability to follow hospital policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of orientation programs and competencies with documentation
- Completion of behavioral emergency (Best Training) within 6 months of hire
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of hospital policies, especially patient identification protocols
- Familiarity with safety and cleanliness standards in healthcare settings
- Physical ability to assist in patient lifting and transportation
Job Duties
- Assist staff in transportation of patients from bed to stretcher and from stretcher to bed
- Assist in lifting and positioning of patients
- Prepare and assist patients for discharge
- Communicate and report pertinent information, patient complaints, problems, and any untoward signs or unusual occurrences immediately to appropriate patient care provider
- Assist staff in obtaining stock supplies and equipment for designated areas
- Maintain and adjust par levels of supplies, linen, blankets, and solutions as demands fluctuate
- Demonstrate ability to transport patients within hospital following universal protocol
- Maintain a safe and uncluttered environment conforming to OSHA rules and regulations
- Perform all other duties assigned
