Job Requirements
- Ability to work evening shift from 3PM to 11PM
- Must complete general and department specific orientation
- Previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning duties
- Must adhere to hospital policies and cleaning procedures
- Ability to handle emergency spills safely
- Ability to maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and hospital areas
- Must be able to report maintenance and repair needs
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
- Previous hospital housekeeping preferred
Job Duties
- Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs
- Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
- Clean housekeeping closet and maintain par levels
- Collect and transport all waste, including RMW, according to policy
- Compact trash or place in containers
- Damp buff and shampoo carpets with approved equipment
- Dry and wet mop floors of rooms and offices
- Dust mop and wet mop corridors, stairwells and other common areas
- Empty waste receptacles and remove trash
- Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and arrange repairs when needed
- Observe and report the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
- Perform patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure
- Refill paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers
- Ensure patient rooms are patient ready at all times including placement of tent cards, toilet seat bands and privacy curtains
