Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles is advantageous
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively within a team environment
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- physical stamina to perform manual labor and handle cleaning equipment
- attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- customer service skills
- ability to follow safety and health regulations
Job Duties
- maintain and clean specific areas of the hotel including public spaces, offices, restrooms, and conference rooms
- respond to and fulfill guest requests promptly and courteously
- perform cleaning tasks such as wiping and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and polishing floors
- manage removal of trash and cleaning of ashtrays
- create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests with a friendly hello
- advise management on maintenance needs including fire alarms, sprinklers, and plumbing systems
- monitor and maintain cleaning supplies inventory
- execute deep cleaning duties and special cleaning projects
- assist in tidiness of guest accommodations as needed
