Job Requirements
- Ability to work evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- Completion of general and department-specific orientation
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and handle equipment safely
- Adherence to hospital policies and infection control standards
- Prior experience in hospital housekeeping preferred
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
- Previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred
Job Duties
- Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs
- Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
- Clean housekeeping closet and maintain par levels
- Collect and transport all waste including regulated medical waste according to policy
- Compact trash or place in containers
- Damp buff and shampoo carpets with approved equipment
- Dry and wet mop floors of rooms and offices
- Dust mop and wet mop corridor, stairwells and other common areas
- Empty waste receptacles and remove trash
- Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report repairs when needed
- Observe and report need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
- Perform patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure
- Refill paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers
- Ensure all patient rooms are patient ready with tent cards, toilet seat bands and privacy curtains
