Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, write, read and understand English language
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs
- Completion of annual hospital mandatory education
- Availability to work evening shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm
- Willingness to work every other weekend
- Commitment to adhere to hospital safety and regulatory policies
- Flexibility to perform emergency clean-up duties
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, write, read and understand English
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs
- Completion of annual hospital mandatory education requirements
- Experience in environmental service work preferred
- Experience with burnishing floors and cleaning equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Clean patient rooms, nursing units, clinical and waiting areas, rest rooms, elevators and corridors
- Sweep, mop, buff, and vacuum floors
- Perform janitorial functions as instructed
- Lead environmental services tasks in the assigned unit in the absence of a supervisor
- Refill dispensers and collect waste receptacles
- Complete project work including wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharp container removal
- Assist with hospital emergency clean up
- Adhere to hospital safety standards and regulations
