Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
- Education equivalent to high school diploma or any combination of education, training or experience providing necessary skills
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Capability to perform physical demands including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusting focus
- Able to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Able to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Willingness to work in exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Any combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash, dusting and polishing furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not assigned specifically
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service during guest interactions
