Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces and be exposed to extreme weather conditions occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards regardless of specific room assignments
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor of any safety or security violations and guest concerns immediately
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Provide superior customer service when interacting with guests
