Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Capable of sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally
- Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
