Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Capacity to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Willingness to work flexible schedules
- Commitment to maintain superior guest service
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- Equivalent to high school diploma through any combination of education and experience
- Ability to perform the essential duties and physical requirements of the job
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including bath and kitchen areas, clean all floors by vacuuming or washing, remove all trash from guest rooms, dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards regardless of specific assignments
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
