Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
  • Ability to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Availability to maintain work schedule without late shifts and with Sundays off

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Any other combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations as well as guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
